Come join us and find out why we are so excited to share this dance with you! No prior experience needed. Absolute beginners welcome. There is no need to bring your own dance partners. Teachers: Swing Toronto teachers Brady Lang & Alex Focken PERK! Everyone taking a course in this session is an invited guest to Saturday Night Swing on July 20th, 2026. FREE admission. SUMMER DISCOUNT! If you take more than one course in this session, you can take the second course at the f/t student price! (The regular admission price of the course taken at the f/t student price must be equal to or less than the course taken at the regular price. If you are a full-time student, you can take a second course with a 20% discount.) LOCATION: June classes in the Jackman Room, Eastminster; July classes across Bloor Street from there in the Upper Hall of St Barnabas. Both locations are a minute or two from the Chester subway stop. In this course we will mostly do 6-count Lindy Hop. 6-count and 8-count patterns are the main rhythm patters in Lindy Hop. We also do other rhythm patterns all the time. You can take our two Lindy Hop beginner courses (one focuses on 6-count, the other on 8-count), in either order, or in the same session of courses. We also offer courses in partner Charleston, which is both part of Lindy Hop, and a dance in its own right. Once you have done our 6-count and 8-count Lindy Hop beginner courses at least once each, you can take our intermediate 1 courses. We encourage you to take each of our beginner courses more than once, to learn more fully, refresh, practice and have fun. It will never be exactly the same, especially not if the teachers are different. It is also about 1/2 price when you take the same beginner course again in the same role.
