LINDY HOP HEAVEN with King Louis and the Primas

For our next LINDY HOP HEAVEN, we'll have KING LOUIS AND THE PRIMAS play at the Edinburgh Jazz 'n Jive Club. Get ready to dance with Scotland’s premier Jump Jive and Swing sensation. This high-energy ensemble brings the infectious rhythms, powerhouse brass and timeless showmanship of the legendary Louis Prima straight to your event. Join us for a very danceable evening with superb Swing music by trombonist and vocalist Dave Batchelor and his quintet. Dave himself has been a Swing dancers in years past and knows very well what to play for dancing Lindy Hop, Jive and the likes. He's indeed been to Herräng Dance Camp not only once, but twice. So expect a fantastic mix of music for both listening and dancing! The Edinburgh Jazz 'n Jive Club offers on Fridays live Jazz music in a relaxed club house atmosphere, with a bar and an excellent, wooden dance floor. The music is generally suitable for dancing Foxtrot and Swing (Lindy Hop, Shag, Balboa). Come along to listen to superb Jazz and to dance the evening away! No need to book in advance, just come along! The entry fee is £15 for non-members and £12 for members. Entry is free for accompanying carers and accompanied children. The fee can be paid at the door by card and cash. The main entrance is from Bangholm Terrace, with step-free access from Warriston Gardens corner Inverleith Row.
