Lindy Hop Intermediate 1A - Musicality & Improv Starts Monday September 14th, 2026 8:30pm to 9:55pm, 5 weeks Mondays, September 14, 28, October 5, 19, 26, 2026 (No class on September 21st due to Yom Kippur bookings at the church. No class on October 12, because it is the Thanksgiving Day Holiday) Jackman Room, Eastminster, 310 Danforth Ave., Toronto Register Here (registration opens soon): https://swingtoronto.com/ TEACHERS: Brady Lang & Alex Focken Conveniently located a minute's walk from the Chester subway stop on the Danforth. PREREQUISITE: - You have completed at least two Lindy Hop beginner courses, at least one emphasizing 8-count and one emphasizing 6-count. You are familiar with the fundamentals of Lindy Hop, and can do basic 6 & 8 count moves. - 1/2 price if you’ve taken this course with us before in the same role (rounded up to a multiple of $5). - Drop-in friendly if you’ve taken this course with us before in the same role; OR for the first class if you meet the prerequisite, and for subsequent classes if you take the previous class. COURSE DETAILS Swing Toronto offers two Lindy Hop Intermediate 1 courses, which you can take in any order you like: – 1A, Musicality & Improvisation – 1B, Vocabulary & Technique These two courses are designed to help you refine your technique, expand your vocabulary of shapes, and introduce elements of musicality and solo movement. Swing Toronto also offers a Partner Charleston course. Charleston is very much part of Lindy Hop. Taking the intermediate 1 courses, and the Charleston course, more than once, is strongly encouraged. It is HALF PRICE when you do (rounded to a multiple of $). Why take the course again? To learn better, to practice and to refresh. Also, it is never exactly the same course twice, especially not when there are different teachers.
