Lindy Hop Social Dance at the Heesterhonk + Mini-aerials Workshop

Summer holidays are just around the corner and before we all scatter to sunny shores and far-off adventures, let's send this dance season off in style! Join us in celebrating the end of dancing season in Heesterhonk on Thursday, 9th of July! Special topic workshop: Mini-aerials! 🔥 Have you ever found yourself looking at these amazing dancers doing cool jumps and thought: “I want to do that!” or you just want to learn something new and have fun along the way? Then this class is for you! In this class Robert and Valerija will teach you how to add small and bigger jumps to your dancing while having a lot of fun! And don't worry, they will take it step by step! You will start with the fundamentals: when to jump, how to land, how to support your partner, and yes, even how to gracefully say no to an air step. 🤸‍♂️ Requirements for joining the class are knowing basic 6 and 8 count Lindy Hop moves like swingout, tuck turn, sendout, and being comfortable with jumping (for the followers), and supporting your partner (for the leaders). Since some of the trickier moves rely on trust and connection, we recommend coming with a partner you already dance well with. 💃🕺 Afterwards, DJ Robert will entertain us with the nicest tunes he can find until late in the evening! 🎶 If you are worried about the heat, Heesterhonk is air conditioned, so you can dance your heart out without melting! ❄️ Our goal is to provide a welcoming space where you can dance freely, knowing you're part of a supportive dance family. So, whether you're a seasoned Lindy Hopper or taking your first steps in this dance, you're warmly invited to the social dance!
