We are ready for a fun and exciting day of workshops with Vasu and Teo :) REGISTER HERE: https://vintagejazzevents.com/lindy-hop-special-with-vasu-and-teo/ When: 12 January, 11.00 - 16.00 What: Workshops 11:00-15:00 Party: 15:00-16:00 Where: Kompaszaal (KNSM-Laan 311, 1019LE, Amsterdam) Costs: EUR 22,50 per workshop or EUR EUR 40 for both workshops Social afterwards is donation based! Lunch: EUR 15 (Falafel Wraps + Fries) We prefer that you do the workshops as a SWITCH, but for those of you that are not able to we can accommodate you. We will cover four different topics spread out over 3 hours: Workshop 1: 11.00 - 12.30 1. EMPOWER THE LEADERS BY EMPOWERING THE FOLLOWS Often follows do not realise how much they can add to the dance and how much freedom they have. By taking power over that freedom they are allowing the leaders to take a different position in the conversation where leaders can soak in the inspiration given by the follow. Let’s explore this win win approach to the dance. 2. STEP/RHYTHM REPLACEMENT THEORY Exploring something familiar, but from a different perspective and making it feel totally new and mind blowing, that is what we are gonna do to your moves. Lunch 12:30 - 13:30 Workshop 2: 13.30 - 15.00 3. SWING OUTS FUNMATICS Rethinking how we think about a swing out and each small element in it that can open a big door 4. TURNOLOGY Exploring leader or follow initiated turns PARTY FROM 15:00 TO PRACTICE OUR MOVES! LEVEL REQUIREMENTS For the first one we need you be familiar with 6 & 8 count basics, and to have done at least a few swing outs even if those are still work in progress.
