Lindy Hop Swing Dance Social - First Saturdays

Intro to Lindy Hop Lesson 7-8pm Swing Dance Social 8-10pm $10 for one, $20 for both (Cash & Venmo accepted) Join us for a Lindy Hop swing dance lesson taught by international dance instructor, Kara Fabina. Lesson starts at 7pm, doors at 6:45pm. DJ'd swing dance social immediately after the lesson going until at least 10pm. Lindy Hop is an American dance which was born in the African-American communities in Harlem, New York City, in 1928 and has evolved since then. It was very popular during the swing era of the late 1930s and early 1940s. Today it is danced and celebrated around the globe with festivals honoring the origins and traditions of both the artists that gave us Lindy Hop as well as the artists that continue to contribute to the dance today! No partner required.
