Lindy Technique & Teacher Training Workshop Series

This installment of the Lindy Technique and Teacher Training Workshop Series we plan cover a number of steps, step sequences including the swingout, post-2000s swingout, sugar push and variations, circle, original double tuck timing along with a number of jazz steps and rhythm, rhythm exercises. We'll also talk about the differences between social dance , show dancing and competitive dance and why we need all three to have a dynamic Lindy scene. We will, also, work on different teaching concepts for each steps along with practice teaching over the weekend. This is the first of 3 planned workshop weekends in the area. All meetings will be at TEMPO Performing Arts Center in Kingston, NY. Schedule as of now is: Fri 7-10 Sat 10-6 Sun noon-6pm Free community class 6-8pm. Workshops are not refundable. COMPLIMENTARY COMMUNITY DANCE WITH THE FABULOUS VERSATONES!!!!! Saturday, 2-21-26 from 7-10 pm! After the Saturday workshop. Admission for the dance is free due to a sponsorship! We ask people to donate whatever they can to Tempo Kingston at the door or online. You do not have to attend the workshop to attend the dance.
