We sense and feel the sonic vibrations that touches us and makes us vibrate. This workshop is a glimpse into the wider world of hearing and listening. The nexus of listening, sensing and sounding will be touched upon by movement research, somatic practices, exploration of the auditory organ and mindfulness of listening. Through witnessing the synesthesic aspects of listening we can open to a deeper state of consciousness found in the boundless inner and outer body. The workshop incorporates embodiment and somatic practices for dancers, movers, artists and those interested in deeper states of consciousness. Monica Gentile is a dancer and choreographer, yoga and Qi Gong teacher, and a researcher in the field of movement and improvisational dance with a somatic approach. She nurtures an approach that integrates her artistic and creative experience with spirituality and healing.
