Little Henry & The Laveers LIVE at Sunday Swing memorial for Cha-Cha

ACSR recently lost a vital member of our swing community, ACSR board member Cha-Cha Jaime. Cha-Cha has been an integral part of ACSR, often greeting members and guests at check in at the beginning of every event! She has also faithfully volunteered on our board team, helping to shape our wonderful club and by extension, the greater San Antonio swing dance community. If you have attended local dance events, you have likely seen Cha-Cha, and maybe had a spin on the dance floor with her! Tonight we will be honoring our friend Cha-Cha, Little Henry and the Laveers will be performing LIVE! Come out and celebrate our friend in the best way we know how, on the dance floor! Big'z Burger Joint UTSA is our NEW Sunday night location, plenty of free, lighted parking and a wonderful large space to dance! Dancers are welcome to walk thru the main entrance and exit to the courtyard or will need to use the outdoor side entrance to our private dance room, look out for signage for where to go! Dance lessons are still included in ticket price, but please be aware of our updated prices and times, see below. 🕺 NOVEMBER/DECEMBER DANCE LESSONS: 6-7pm INTRO TO SWING 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬: Ale & Leslie 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: This 6-count dance is where it all starts! This class is available every Monday night. East Coast 1 is perfect if you are new to swing dancing and want to begin your dance journey. This class will cover the main fundamentals of swing dancing such as basic posture, pulsing, weight transferring & core engagement. INTERMEDIATE 6ct. LINDY 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬: Andrea & Jonathan 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: For those with knowledge of the basics and wanting to add additional steps in preparation for learning 8ct Lindyhop. Perfect for those above beginner level, but not advanced. CAPSTONE-ADVANCED 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫: Sheri & Gilbert 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Advanced class for those very comfortable in Lindyhop, Charleston, Solo Jazz and Balboa and want to add more with a challenging blended class. Instructors will be advising participants acceptance into this class due to the advanced nature and variety of prior knowledge needed. NOTE: While these classes are available each week, please know that it takes personal commitment to improve your dancing. This may include self-practice, group practices, or private lessons with instructors. Growth requires pushing your limits & testing your potential. Dance is no exception to this rule.
