Live Music Added Jam with James Vitz-Wong this Sunday the 17th

Join us to participate in contact improvisation dance accompanied by live music. This Sunday, we are proud to welcome James Vitz-Wong to the Santa Monica Contact Improv jam to weave a musical fabric into the motion of our dance... For this special jam, the hours will be from 6:30 - 10:00pm, at Dance Home in Santa Monica. Dance Home is located on the south side of the street at 522 Santa Monica Blvd. between 5th and 6th Streets in Santa Monica, Come Join the fun! The jam starts off with a beginner friendly warm-up/mini class. B i o g r a p h y James Vitz-Wong is a multidisciplinary performer and creator from Seattle, residing in Southern California. With a background in classical performance, James's first explorations of electroacoustic soundscapes took place during Contact Improv Jams at Oberlin College. Now a recent grad of CalArts, James focuses on live digital processing, improvisation, dance, and immersive narratives. Current projects of 2019 include choreographing Tom Rhodes's The Last Dodo (a VR dance fantasia to showcase in May), and live-scoring Nina Essendrop's White Death (an experimental nordic LARP at the end of February).
