Led by guitarist, vocalist, and bandleader Dave Ricketts, Gaucho blends Django-inspired swing, New Orleans jazz, ragtime sparkle, gutbucket blues, and early American jazz into a sound that keeps dancers moving all night. Longtime SF music fans know them from their beloved Amnesia residency, and dancers have more recently packed the floor for their weekly nights at DecoDance Bar. This week’s lineup features Dave Ricketts with the wonderful Leon Oakley on cornet/trumpet, bringing bright tone, classic jazz fire, and decades of Bay Area swing authority to the room.
