Live Tango Music: Milonga La Bruja with Trio Garufa

Trio Garufa returns to the Berkeley City Club for another evening of live music! This is a milonga (Argentine tango social dance). We welcome dancers and listeners of all ages. DJ Robert Hammond plays golden-era tango music beginning at 7:00; the Trio's live sets begin at 7:45 and 9:15. Tickets Members: Complimentary | Non-Members: $15 Trio Garufa is an international ensemble dedicated to performing authentic Argentine music. Based in the Bay Area, the group has also performed in Argentina, Colombia, Europe, Canada, and many cities in the US. Trio Garufa's repertoire includes classic Argentine tangos from the golden era as well as Argentine Folklore music, modern tangos by Piazzola, electro-tangos and original compositions. The group is made up of Guillermo Garcia, guitar (Argentina); Adrian Jost, bandoneon (Switzerland); and Sascha Jacobsen, upright bass (California).
