LKS + BTF presents The Extended Edit

Following on from a packed show last month called Jolliraps, Low Key Source and Behind The Front have teamed up once again to present a series of nights over spring/summer called 'The Extended Edit' - celebrating our extended crew of DJ's and Musician friends impacting culture. We adapted the definition of 'extended edit' and applied that to this night where not only you're hear rare b-sides, new artists and extended edits of originals, but you'll hear DJs reflecting their own sound across multiple genres: Selectors for the night are: Kristelle Morin (Jus DANCE) No stranger to House music, Kristelle Morin has been creating memorable party experiences and spinning records for lovers of House music in cities like New York, Paris, Amsterdam, London, Sydney and Johannesburg for the past 15 years In 2008, Kristelle followed her passion for music and made the move to London, where she further immersed herself in the international house scene. She was immediately picked up by Tribe Records UK as their resident DJ and got busy making people dance in some of London's best clubs like The END, Plastic People, Madame Jojo’s, Cable and many more. Kristelle has also played alongside some of the biggest names in House music at Worldwide Festival in the Swiss Alps and the annual Miami Winter Music Conference. She has held a monthly residency at underground soulful club Djoon - Paris and joined Tribe records on their Southern Africa tour. Kristelle played an instrumental role in establishing and playing at the annual ‘Can You Dance To My Beat’ festival, playing on the idyllic Greek island of Kefalonia alongside some of the scene's most influential DJ/producers such as Giles Peterson, Black Coffee, Joe Claussel, Timmy Regisford, DJ Spinna and Jazzie B from Soul II Soul. Her expertise as a DJ has not only impacted on our local music scene through her monthly event called jus DANCE and regular support role at Homebase Sundaze, which has amassed dance crews burning the dancefloor, but has made her night jus Dance one of the most talked about events in Sydney for deep house heads. Now expanding on to being one of the most in-demand club DJ's to national festival shows, we've asked Klasik to be a part of 'The Extended Edit' celebrating his musical passion - future music and beats. This is the Klasik that you'll hear at tastemaker shows playing music that is specialized and catered for specific support nights like his support role at Soulection's j.robb recently. His other event Some Place Else has gone from strength to strength impacting our culture through energy and great music. With over 10 years hosting events specifically catered to soul music in its many forms, to her weekly radio host on FBi Radio with good pal Dobby and the occasional fill-in on Double J, to once co-founding a label, to publicity work and DJing, DIOLA is on a mission to find what makes culture tip and what fuels our desire to be a part of the 'cool'. DIOLA's support DJ roles have been alongside Hau on a national album tour in 2016 becoming the catalyst as a tour DJ or fill in DJ for a series of artists including Omar Musa, Coda Conduct, B Wise, Jesse B, Kaiit, L Fresh The Lion, Mirrah, Raiza Biza and now traveling across EU with rapper and dummer, Dobby.
