Dancer, Choreographer, Dance Teacher, Professor of Shri Vivek Integral Yoga. Jorge began his training as a dancer at the age of 20 in the province of San Juan, studying Argentine folklore and tango at the academy for folk dance „La Huella“ at the Instituto de Danzas Iberia, as well as classical and contemporary dance at „Studio Uno“. In 2002, he received a scholarship from the Julio Bocca Foundation and the Mercosur Ballet, and moved to Buenos Aires. In Argentina, Jorge participated in numerous national and international events (among others in the opening ceremonies of the world championships of indoor hockey and volleyball, the opening of the UNSJ concert season, and at publicity events for the Government of the province of San Juan). In 2007, he moved to Barcelona, Spain, ​​where he worked as a dancer and choreographer in a diverse range of shows, mainly with contemporary dance and tango. He collaborated with independent projects and upcoming creators in the performing arts scene. In addition to his dance experience, from 2007 to 2010 Jorge studies to become a teacher and coach of Shri Vivek Integral Yoga. In 2013 he is nominated for the "MAX Spain" awards in the category of „best dance performer“. Thanks to his technical knowledge, he enriches the teaching methods of tango – both on stage or scene dancing, and on the dance floor. As a dancer, he presented his work on stage in collaborations with the Gran Teatro del Liceu in Barcelona, the Ballet Cotton Dance Company, and the Pepe Hevia Dance Company, meanwhile directing and managing the Jorge Talquenca Tango project. Since 2004, he teaches and performs tango in Argentina; since 2007 in Spain, Italy, Austria, Poland, Russia and Turkey. Currently, Jorge Talquenca lives in Vienna, Austria, where he teaches and holds workshops regularly.
