Alma Latina Dance Company is one of the TOP and ELITE dance companies in the WORLD! Alma Milwaukee exists to bring technique, training and intricate choreography to the Milwaukee community. They are a division dance company that serves as a branch of Alma Latina Dance Company. Come out to train and build your dancing with world class choreographies created by the director of Alma Latina, Gaby Equiz Alma Latina. ALMA MILWAUKEE DANCE COMPANY: Directed by: Amber Rivard & Joshua Burgos (owners of Daync Studio & Directors of Operations & Marketing for Alma Latina Dance Company World Wide teams) Amber and Joshua were the directors of Ahora! Latin Dance Organization at UW-Milwaukee for two years, and started Alma Milwaukee Dance Company 1.5 years ago. They recently brought the world champion director, Gaby, to Milwaukee to train all Alma Milwaukee teams last June 2017. Gaby also taught workshops for the general public to take advantage of that weekend. Amber and Joshua currently oversee the operations and all digital marketing for Alma Latina Dance Company and travel 1-4 times per year to work with Gaby and the Pro team. International & Domestic Dance Experience: The directors of Alma Milwaukee have traveled to the Paris International Salsa Congress in April to train under the Alma Latina Pro Team and debut their Ladies' Styling routine! They have also traveled to Montreal, Canada, Tijuana, Mexico, Reno, Nevada, Orlando, Florida and Las Vegas, Nevada to work with Alma Latina to receive specific director training. This summer, Directors Amber Rivard, Joshua Burgos will be training under Alma Latina Pro Team again in Tijuana, Mexico to further their dance technique and bring the knowledge back to their Milwaukee training teams. ✪✪✪Benefits of Alma Milwaukee Dancers✪✪✪ -WEEKLY instruction rehearsals for 2-2.5 hours -PRIVATE online access for choreography breakdown videos/technique exercise videos/updates/discussions -TRAINING in technique, spins, footwork, strength/conditioning, feet strengthening exercises -EXTRA rehearsal space available outside of weekly rehearsals at Daync Studio -FREE access to monthly Latin Fridays socials at Daync Studio -Training under the Alma Latina Pro team when in Milwauke, Midwest area or at a congress where the Pro Team is teaching/performing ✪_AUDITIONS DETAILS_✪ -Each genre will have a 1 hour session with the directors -Stretch, warmup and choreo instruction followed by expercise/drills before auditions are recorded ✪_TEAMS AVAILABLE_✪ -All levels welcome Salsa Coed, Bachata Ladies and Mens Shines, Bachata Coed ✪_RULES_✪ -Partner is not reqired -Workout/dance clothes are recommended -You are allowed to stay during other genre audtions while you wait for your specific team audition -No street shoes allowed on dance floor (socks, flats and Latin dance shoes are all acceptable) -No children or guests allowed that are not registered (MUST pre-register through above link to attend auditions) -Mobile devices must be silenced -No food allowed during auditions -We recommend bringing a water bottle -No recording allowed with cameras/phones/tablet devices -You do not need to attend both audition days, you may attend Wednesday or Saturday, depending on your schedule Dancers will learn and practice a portion of a routine that will help develop and enhance techniques and hone their dancing abilities, particularly with spinning, partnering technique, footwork and performance skills. ✪✪Alma teams emphasize instruction of body movement through space, musicality and intricate patterns.✪✪ OTHER QUESTIONS?
