Maldito Tango Tisdagspractilonga

Welcome to Maldito tango's Tuesday practilonga! To night We dance and practice to tandas by DJ Ademir. The following 2 practicas, Maldito will be hosted by one of our favourite local teachers, Elodie from Connect with joy. She will be leading the workshop together with Mirian. You can drop in to the class starting at 6:15 PM. The practica will start immediately after the class, around 7:30 PM. ⭐️ABOUT THE 3 WORKSHOPS: In tango, the roles of leader and follower are often seen as distinct and separate, with the leader guiding the dance and the follower responding. However, the true magic of tango happens when both partners contribute to the dance, creating a fluid and dynamic exchange. Those 3 classes are about empowering followers to express their voice within the dance and helping leaders to recognize and make space for that expression. We welcome leaders, followers and double rollers from all level (requirements specified for each class). No partner needed! ⭐️ WORKSHOP THEME ⭐️ 1️⃣ Oct 1st Backleading and Forefollowing a technique where the traditional lines between leader and follower blur into a fluid connection, leading to those magical moments where you don’t know who is leading and who is following—just that the dance is happening effortlessly. Requirements: No need to master complex sequences but you need to know a few steps that you feel comfortable enough about. In this class, we’ll practice: ⬅️ Followers: Develop a stronger, more confident dance to contribute to the dance actively, fully responsible for the co-creation of the movement. ➡️Leaders - Leaders: Improving your ability to better understand and meet the follower’s needs. 🔀 For Both Roles: Get a practical tool to troubleshoot when something in the dance isn’t working. Double Rollers: Get an intuitive method to learn the other role. It deepens your understanding of the dance and enhances your ability to switch roles fluidly, enriching your overall tango experience. ❗️Requirement: You need to know the lead and/or follow of the back ocho. PRICES: 💲Workshop with Elodie & Mirian: 80 SEK 💲Workshop + practilonga: 120 SEK 💲Practilonga only: 80 SEK (70 SEK for members) * Coffee and refreshments are included in the price. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT MALDITO'S TUESDAY PRACTICA We strive to respect the flow in the ronda, but it is perfectly okay to pause and reflect with your partner in the middle of a dance on the dance floor. It is also okay to give and receive feedback if both partners are open to it. About the Music: At Malditos Practica, we play shorter tandas (3 songs). We aim to vary the music and occasionally include an alternative tanda (it is perfectly okay to approach the DJ booth and request songs). About the DJs: The practica has its own resident DJ, but sometimes we invite other local DJs. The DJ lineup is always announced at the event! Drop-in Classes: Maldito does not have its own tango courses, but we occasionally invite local teachers to hold a drop-in class before the practica starts.
