Welcome to Maldito Tango's Tuesday Practilonga! Tonight, we dance and practice to tandas by DJ Mirian. This evening, Maldito will once again be hosted by one of our favorite local teachers, Elodie from Connect with Joy. She will be leading the workshop together with Mirian. You can drop in to the class starting at 6:15 PM. The practica will start immediately after the class, around 7:30 PM. This is also the last practilonga of the season, so let’s make it a memorable evening! Thank you for joining us, and we look forward to seeing you again next year! ⭐️ WORKSHOP THEME ⭐️ Navigating the Dance Floor with Crosses In this workshop, we’ll explore how to use the cross (cruzada) as an effective tool for navigating crowded dance floors with ease and flow. Followers will focus on maintaining balance and fluidity in their crosses, as well as expressing their musicality. Leaders will learn how to incorporate crosses to adjust direction, manage space, and create smooth transitions. Through practical exercises, we'll combine musicality and floorcraft. Perfect for dancers looking to improve their navigation skills and make their crosses functional and elegant! It is also okay to give and receive feedback if both partners are open to it. About the Music: At Malditos Practica, we play shorter tandas (3 songs). We aim to vary the music and occasionally include an alternative tanda (it is perfectly okay to approach the DJ booth and request songs). About the DJs: The practica has its own resident DJ, but sometimes we invite other local DJs. The DJ lineup is always announced at the event! Drop-in Classes: Maldito does not have its own tango courses, but we occasionally invite local teachers to hold a drop-in class before the practica starts.
