Welcome to M.A.L.Z.A. A concept especially created to help you find a way to lead a healthier life, to exercise better, to empower yourself, to further your personal growth and development and to meet like-minded people who are also looking to achieve more out of life. You will get high intensity dance workouts in which each participant shall receive individual attention and feedback. This event is for both MEN as WOMEN. You can sign up as a couple, but also individual. For this edition I invited my dance partner Quincy Ignacia, a great dancer who gained so much knowledge and is willing to share it with us. Quincy grew up in a family where music and dance had a central place. In 2003, he was approached to join a hip-hop dance group when he was only 11. With the help of YouTube he soon improved his dance and beatbox skills. At the age of 17, he visited an open day at the Amsterdam University of the Arts where he was discovered and asked to audition by Jocelyn Bergland after which he got accepted. After completing the Urban Contemporary program, he continued his career working with several renowned choreographers and artists. In 2016, he rediscovered the first dance style he was introduced to by his dad: Salsa. Even though Quincy really enjoys performing as a professional dancer, his first love will remain teaching. Therefore, he is still teaching dance in the town where he grew up as a way to give back to the younger generation. Besides, this keeps him grounded.
