Irene has been a professional dancer all her life, having trained from a young age in ballet, jazz, contemporary dance and hip hop as well as all styles of salsa. She has danced with some of the top names in the salsa world, including Homero Gonzalez, Leon Rose, Tamambo, Angel Ortis, and her partner in New York, Edgard Del Rosario. Irene has won several salsa championships and has been invited to judge competitions in London, Paris and Argentina. She and Edgard spent 5 years researching and developing a holistic system of dance training: Mambolifestyle. They have been teaching it all over the world since 2001.
