This Thursday at Tango La Nacional: María Elena Ybarra & Matias Iriarte! Maria Elena Ybarra is a Tango dancer and teacher from Argentina. She has been dancing Tango for over twenty years and teaching for more than twelve years. She has studied with many teachers and masters such as Carlos and Maria Rivarola and Rosa Perez, Natalia Games and Gabriel Angio. She has taught in Canada at several festivals and in universities in the US. Matias Iriarte is also a Tango dancer and teacher form Argentina and has been dancing and teaching for over twenty-five years. His technique has been influenced by great Argentinian masters such as Carlos and Rosa Perez, Raul Bravo, Eduardo Pareja, Aurora Lubiz, Natalia Games and Gabriel Angio. Maria Elena and Matias met during classes by Carlos and Rosa and since then they continued to meet in different cities to explore and study their Tango. Both of them love the traditional style of old masters and together they performed in different emblematic places in Buenos Aires and the world. Maria Elena and Matias travel between Buenos Aires, New York and Europe teaching and performing.
