***ENGLISH***
The Elles are happy to invite Eugenia Parrilla (see full biography below), a reference dancer for the new generation of tangueras at the turn of the 21st century. Maria and Eugenia Parilla met in Paris some twenty years ago when Eugenia was Chicho’s partner; they remain in contact and pursue in parallel their quest for the highest standards of dance as tango develops in Europe.
Maria and Eugenia will give the seminar together, at the crossroads of questioning and transmission.
WORKSHOP TOPIC
In this workshop, we will deepen our understanding of the natural movement of the body and work with the benefits of this naturalness.
Often, we feel unstable and insecure when we dance, but when we find the internal alignment in different moments of a movement, it gives us stability in the body's feeling. Physical freedom and a pleasant feeling in the dance is our goal. We will work on different elements to feel the free leg but integrating the whole body as a unit.
We will make a progressive work – using the walking, the change of weight, spirals, eights and turns – focusing on :
- what happens with the posture and how it affects us if it is not correct, in different situations.
- The use of the weight of the body, to be able to be more serene in the reactions and that the result is more effective.
- How to use the feet and legs to be more free and more precise and elegant for when we need speed and balance.
- The function of the arms, how they affect the posture and movement of the partner if we do not use them with the right energy.

EUGENIA’S BIOGRAPHY
Since she was a child, Eugenia had contact with dance. At the age of 5 her mother enrolled her in Classical Dances almost as part of a daily routine. She then began her physical and emotional development in relation to movement.
Some time later she began her studies at the Centro Polivalente de Arte in the city of San Luis. Surrounded by a structure and a social sense, she began studying painting, piano, music, dance and art in general. She thus developed what is known as a discipline. She perfected herself even more in piano classes with various private teachers and in dance as the axis of all her internal structure.
As a University student, she studied Plastic Arts at the University of La Plata. That is where she also found El Tango. Then she moved to Buenos Aires, where she went from an amateur enthusiasm to devote herself professionally to Tango as a dancer and teacher. Contact improvisation and contemporary dance were part of her continuous formation.
In 2002 she travels to Paris and decides to stay there. She starts to work as a couple with Mariano Chicho Frumboli, later with Pablo Inza, Ezequiel Farfaro, and now Yanick Wyler.
The search for perfection and the analysis of movement lead her to contribute to the development of the tango technique : new trends for a new generation. Since then she is continuously working intensely in Festivals and Tango Workshopsall over the world.
She is also a Gyrotonic® Pre-Trainer and since 2008 she has her own studio in Buenos Aires.
