Let’s make this weekend amazing! 🥳 😍 About Maria Malakou Maria Malakou grew up on the beautiful island of Lesvos in Greece. When she was 11 years old she started dancing, taking ballet and contemporary classes for 6 years. She also studied contemporary and Latin International dance for about 2 years. At the age of 17, her life completely changed when she started dancing Salsa and she joined a local dance company on her island. A year later she decided to move to Athens where she met her teacher and future dance partner Dimitris Psychogios. As a couple, they taught and performed at the biggest festivals in the world like the Berlin Salsacongress and the Milan On2 Congress amongst others. They also competed at various events and won first place at the Danubian Salsa Competition in Romania and at the World Latin Dance Cup Qualifications in Greece in 2016. In 2018 she decided to broaden her horizon and traveled to Milan to join Marco Ferrigno’s Ansima Production Ballet. Together and with Marco Ferrigno as a couple they have traveled to almost every big salsa event in the world, teaching and performing on every continent. Now, Maria has been working on her own project teaching lady styling bootcamps, and classes all over Europe. Maria is known for her demanding and challenging classes, her contagious energy, and her uplifting personality. Be sure not to miss any of her workshops, bootcamps or shows!
