This class offering is specifically for DJs who already have experience playing (in clubs, parties, festivals, etc) and are looking to fine-tune their unique style of mixing. This will be an eight hour course complete with tutorials, individual practice time, Q&A and feedback from Kareem. What you will learn: TRANSITIONS Transitions are one of the most important ingredients for creating a journey during a set. Specifically in an Ecstatic Dance journey, a seamless transition allows the dancer to fall into a trance and move through different genres without interruption or a "stop & go" feeling between tracks. Transitions are also an opportunity for DJs to show their creativity by mixing tracks in their own individual way and expertise. MELODIES & RHYTHMS Understanding melodies, rhythms and layers of music is essential in putting tracks together for a specific deliverance. Why does faster not necessarily mean more energy? Why is a certain melody so powerful that every time you hear it it moves you? Why have certain sounds or melodies travelled for more than 5000 years? The more we understand each component of the song and truly feel the power of music, the more impact we create on the dance floor. BECOMING A NEXT LEVEL DJ THAT CREATES A BUZZ IN THE SCENE/COMMUNITY… For this Kareem will teach you how to: Standing out as a DJ, Create unique mixes Market and promote yourself as a DJ. Your passion and dedication is key to all this, and Kareem will give you the tools and experience of 25 years to level-up your DJ skills What Kareem will not teach you: This is a Master Class, so we will not be explaining the basics of DJing. You must already know how to use your DJ Controller and Software. You must also understand, beatmixing, and know where the FX controls are on your DJ Software/Controller.
