🎶 Syncopation Society presents: Swing guitar masterclass with Nick Rossi 🎶 Join us for a unique opportunity to learn from acclaimed jazz guitarist, bandleader, writer, and historian Nick Rossi! Based in San Francisco, California, Rossi is known for his stylish approach to jazz music, reflecting a deep appreciation for the Swing Era of the 1920s-1960s. In this 90-minute masterclass, Rossi will focus on swing guitar playing techniques and methods from the same time period, contextualizing them for contemporary musicians. Whether you're an experienced guitarist or just starting out, you'll gain valuable insights and inspiration from Rossi's expertise and passion for tradition. The workshop will be held at Crack Bellmer on April 18th, before the monthly Jam Cats event. He has also led worldwide workshops focusing on the approaches of players such as Freddie Green and George Van Eps, and written extensively about jazz guitar and traditional approaches for publications such as "Acoustic Guitar" magazine and "The Fretboard Journal". Rossi has worked with record labels such as Ace, Fresh Sounds, RPM, and Resonance Records, including the latter’s Grammy-nominated "Hittin’ The Ramp: The Early Years (1936-1943)” Nat King Cole box set.
