MCDC Conscious Dance 3 13: Florence Lesur (FlowBliss)

COME DANCE YOUR BLISS! Join MCDC this Wednesday March 13 from 5:30 - 7:20 with FlowBliss! Visiting from Santa Cruz, where she leads dances both on the floor and under water, Flo crafts an eclectic world beat journey with diverse rhythms and music from many different genres. FlowBliss tunes into the energy and the people in the room and brings lightness and fun to the dance floor. Our event will end with a guitar-led song share. Please bring plenty of water and wear clothes that allow you to move freely. No experience required! MCDC dances every week on Wednesday at the Makawao Union Church from 5:30 pm - 7:20pm. Donations are sliding scale $15 -$20. We do not turn dancers away for lack of funds. Please inquire in advance about possible work trades for our take down (7:20-7:45pm). MCDC'S 7 CONSCIOUS DANCING AGREEMENTS 1. Dancing is our preferred language and we invite you to save conversations for outside. 2. We encourage you to savor your solo dances, especially in the beginning of our dance. We also invite you to dance with others and ask that you do so with consent. Please use eye contact and other body language (hands, feet) to confirm that the other dancer is up for connecting. Many usually are! 3. Illegal substances and alcohol are not to be consumed anywhere on the Makawao Union Church property. 4. We dance in a way that is physically safe for all. Please keep feet below the waist when lifting other dancers. We only allow children and dogs on the dance floor when they are held in arms. 5. If you experience any difficulties on the dance floor, please find an MCDC team member and we will do our best to support you. 6. Spontaneous singing, circling, clapping and other expressions of joy happen often at our dances! 7. We limit announcements after dance to only those of great communal concern. Please let us know in advance if you would like to make such an announcement.
