Welcome to “Medicine for the People” Spiritual Gathering. This gathering on tribal land is for everyone to bring our personal medicine for us find our joy, peace,harmony with what helps us heal in our own way and as a collective. What is your medicine? Do you find yourself lost in music, art, yoga, dance, food, hooping,mantras, children, drumming, meditation, nature, tantra, prayer or flow arts? What brings us inner peace and release from the outer world through our inner worlds? Dont know? Come find your medicine as we share ours with you. All are invited to bring their personal medicine and share it with the rest of our spiritual community for a weekend of fun,camping, divine play, and ceremony. Nestled in the tall pines on the shores of Lake Tombigbee we gather on tribal land of the Alabama Coushatta Indian Reservation. We gather to share our heart space, to give gratitude in our connection with nature, to each other and all that is. We gather to bring heaven to earth and support each other and our Texas spiritual community through love laughter and devotion. We can support each other with sharing ideas, gifts, services, talents and abilities. Co creation through collaboration. Everyone is offered the opportunity to give in a unique way even if it is simple as asking people if anyone can use some help. In this co creative space we join together for celebrating and cultivating our heart space. As a unified collective we join together in a Saturday Sunset Ceremony to give our prayers and Love affirmations to the collective conscious as our own Medicine for the People. Sending out this heart space resonance as we play together, we sing together and dance together we support the greater good for humanity in a brighter tomorrow. Join us in the arms of Mother Nature this fall equinox September 23 24 and 25th weekend as we hold visions of Unity and Harmony for all our relations. We are supporting these ideals by offering: COMM’UNITY’ SPACE: there will be a large PAVILION with seating for over 100 people as well as a MAIN STAGE next to an soft GRASS FIELD, KIDS PLAYGROUND and a DOCK on the water. SHOWERS and restrooms are across the street from the pavilion. Just a short walk is the swim area and LOVE ISLAND in Lake Tombigbee for group work, personal space and relaxing under the stars. MUSIC- We like to make our own music so drum circles, free flow jam sessions, open mic, and trained musicians will be available all weekend for entertainment. COMM’UNITY’ KITCHEN- there will be food VENDORS as well as a complete communal KITCHEN available for a weekend long potluck. Please bring food / drink to share if you would like to eat in the communal area. We also encourage open volunteering to help with cooking and cleaning the kitchen as an act of service to the community. SACRED SPACE: A 20x20 temple will be constructed complete with LOUNGE SPACE and GROUP ALTER. Designated times will be assigned for meditation mantras and sound healing sessions. CEREMONY- Saturday just before Sunset we will all hold space together and send Loving Intentions for the healing of humanity and all our relations. We will join hands and hearts together as we use group mind and spirit to uplift the collective conscious back to its heart space. KIDZONE- This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY event. We have a play area and activities for the little ones lined up for fun creativity and learning. PLAYSHOPS: Yoga, Flow, Qi Gong and more will be available free of charge. VISUAL ART- Local ARTISTS share their world with us with a backdrop of mother nature with the sound of music and laughter. Also there will be ECSTATIC DANCE on Sunday Morning. UNIQUE VENDING: Handmade and one of a kind items as well as gourmet foods plus healing and other services will be available from LOCAL ARTISTS. CAMPING- Connecting to nature is connecting to our roots. While there will be community space and communal kitchen, each camp area has its own picnic table, bbq pit, fire pit, trash can and plenty of shade from tall pines that create a natural canopy. Showers and restroom on site. Electricity and water available at the Pavilion. If you have an RV or need electricity for special needs please msg a host for details. STAR GAZERS LOUNGE: There is a DOCK on the lake that is close to the pavilion that will be turned into a lounge for late night stargazing and after hours chill space. Find yourself lost in the night sky and the sounds of nature with new and old friends. COMMUNAL BONFIRE: campsite next to the pavilion a will be designated area for communal CAMP FIRE all weekend. It will serve as a meeting area and have designated hours for group discussions for esoteric philosophy, positive actions and sustainable living. DRUM CIRCLES and JAM SESSIONS. Trained drum leaders and musicians will be having scheduled times for everyone to be able to join in the fun. Bring your instruments! Children drum circles will also be available in the Kidzone. APPRECIATION TOKENS: We will have quantities of love tokens that are given as gifts to those that inspire, uplift, entertain, educate and assist the quality of our experience. INSPIRATION! There will be food vendors onsite, also we will be offering a community kitchen for cooking individual meals as well as sharing co-operations. Please note: Communal kitchen does NOT mean free food all weekend. If you plan to eat in the Communal kitchen we ask you to offer food or drinks to the community in a take some leave some system so everyone benefits and everyone eats. Bring signature dishes, casseroles, fruit, veggies, snacks, juices ,water and salads ect for the community to share.. Each campsite also has bbq pit if you wish to cook privately at your site. We try to make our spiritual gatherings as affordable as possible so all who feel called can attend. Full weekend pass only $35 gets all inclusive access to the entire event. price includes all land fees plus workshops, entertainment and access to all spaces including the 24 hour communal kitchen. We need reliable people for this position as the event can not run without your support. Other perks will be offered for our critical volunteers depending on performance. BUTOH THEATER- Bobby Levy, Gaiana Autumn, Camille Perrin Rowdon, & cast- Butoh (舞踏 Butō ?)- is a form of Japanese dance theatre that encompasses a diverse range of activities, techniques and motivations for dance, performance, or movement. Come sit with us as we explore this ancient medicine and the path of tea. STAR GAZERS LOUNGE- The dock on the lake will be made into a late night lounge for star gazing and general wonderment. SILENT WOODS- A portion of the wooded areas near camp will be designated for sitting with nature in silence, introspection, deep contemplation and reconnection to true nature. CEREMONY- Saturday Ceremony will be an interactive part of bringing our hearts and minds together with prayer and affirmation for a unified humanity SACRED SOUND SUNDAY- Gongs, Crystal bowls, flutes, harps, drums, didgeridoos and other instruments accompany group OMing project.
