This night, surrounded by a spectrum of sound and color, will be very special. Have you ever felt a presence so exquisite that you thought, “wow, this is my divine essence!” This unmistakable feeling can overcome your body, mind, emotion, your whole being. Surrounded by this ecstatic space, you find your self almost weightless, floating. Here play, dance, song and connection comes with a child like ease, while steeping you more and more in the felt presence of the divine. You are invited to call upon your divine essence, and to enter into this fantastic space that is waiting for you. ~ To cross the threshold, Anna Tukachinskaya will guide you in a practice of Laughter Yoga. ~ Once you arrive, Amy & the Ananda Bliss tribe will usher you into the realm of love's devotion. He will also provide a high fidelity sound system, and immersive lighting with Ecstatic Audio & Design. ~ Once the sauna is hot, you’re invited in. Please bring a bathing suit, or a sauna towel, a shaker, and a song to share. Yoga Now has showers to wash up, so bring an extra towel, and a towel for a friend. ~ The after hours are reserved for the mystery of creative flow. There is also free parking on Oak Street, west of LaSalle Drive. On weekends, the 156 bus does not run, so there is free parking in front of the bus stops, both north and south of Chicago Ave. There is also a parking lot directly behind Yoga Now that charges $15 to park for the whole night. Presenter Bios: - Amy and the Ananda Bliss Tribe Kirtan is a joyous celebration in music in Sanskrit. The repetition of the mantras creates a relaxed state in the mind which is both peaceful and joyous. The word Kirtan comes from the Sanskrit root “kirt” which means “to name, to communicate, to celebrate, to praise, to glorify.” Kirtan can be seen as a bridge between our outer and inner selves and an expression of our desire to know and love God within. We bring in spirit through our joy and our music. She creates playful spaces where participants can drop into their bodies, let go of mental clutter, and express themselves authentically and joyfully. Laughter Yoga is an uplifting practice that combines intentional laughter, breathing exercises, and playful movements to release endorphins ("feel-good" chemicals), reduce stress, and cultivate a sense of connection. It's also a great aerobic workout! - Roman Borochin is trained in facilitating guided dance and movement practices. He has studied Kundalini Ecstatic Dance Facilitation, Cuddle Party Foundations of Facilitation, Movement Medicine, & Capacitar International. He is also the founder of Ecstatic Dance Chicago.
