Meditation, Movement and Rhythm Sanctuary Dance!

Hi! We are excited to host Brigitte Witmer for a pre-dance meditation, movement and connection experience. 6pm DOORS at ALTAR 6:30 Event Starts and leads right intocthe dance $10-$15 sliding scale for the Brigitte portion of the event. Details Below: Brigitte is an international dance artist, instructor, performer, and transformational movement guide with a wealth of experience spanning over ten countries. Her diverse background includes training at prestigious institutions such as Broadway Dance Center in New York and Faculdade Angel Vianna in Rio de Janeiro. Combining her extensive studies in contemporary dance, Brazilian social dances, somatic education, contact-improvisation, Bodywork, Yoga, Gyrokinesis, and transpersonal psychology, Brigitte has developed a unique approach to dance. With a passion for using dance as a tool for awareness, expression, and personal growth, Brigitte creates transformative spaces for people to explore and connect on multiple levels. Brigitte has designed a special workshop inspired by the spirit of our Altar community and tailored for ecstatic dancers. She will be begin with a playful meditation to connect with joy and wisdom of your heart. This will flow into solo movement playing with different textures. We will close with connection practices in attuning to the body and energy of another while remaining guided by our own hearts.
