This will be Laura Llacuna's LAST Melting Pot with us, since she is moving back to Spain! Come celebrate her return to Europe with a glass of champagne, take class from her, and hear her DJ the first set of the night. Why you ask? Because it will give us time for Fusion Excursions! On top of having our own party once a month, we will find dances that are already happening in the city and crash them (after taking the beginner class of course). That way we can learn new ways of moving our bodies, meet new people, support other scenes, and bring them all back to our home at Melting Pot. Its a win-win! Next Melting Pot Dates: (2nd Sundays) May 31st June 14th July 12th August 9th September 13th ------------------ We play a variety of music, which will probably include Pop, Blues, WCS, Alt Tango, Lindy, Alternative, Zouk, and Electronica. We invite you to join us for another night of Melting Pot- NYC Fusion Dance! We are super excited to host this dance and have the opportunity to bring some of our favorite dance forms, music and dancers together. Mixing it up and getting down! ------------------- What is Fusion Dance? Fusion Dance is a genre of dance that combines two or more partner dance genres together during the course of a song. To us, this means breaking down the boundaries between dance forms to allow us to pick and choose which amongst the many different techniques we wish to employ at any given time.
