Melting Pot: Jan 10th with Mark Carpenter!

Mark Carpenter was one of our fabulous teachers from Motley Hue 2015. A nomad originally from California, he travels the world teaching and DJing blues & fusion dancing. Now he's back in NYC to cause trouble and dance like crazy with us! Instead of our regular hour long pre-dance class, we will be having a special workshop with Mark & Flouer. After establishing some technical skills, we will give you a series of fun but challenging problems to solve with your partner. Through solving each problem, we will come up with new ways of moving & stretch our ideas of connection. Come play with us and have a blast! Mixing it up and getting down! ------------------- What is Fusion Dance? Fusion Dance combines two or more partner dance genres together during the course of a song. To us, this means breaking down the boundaries between dance forms to allow us to pick and choose which amongst the many different techniques we wish to employ at any given time.
