Welcome to our next Melting Pot Fusion Dance! Looking forward to seeing you on the dance floor! ***Special Pre-dance class w/Laura Llacuna Duran** 8pm to 9pm - Class: "Falling and Getting" with Laura Llancuna Duran. Be balanced, find your center and let someone else absorb it! This class is going to be about balance, not losing your identity in your dance, finding your center, listening and connecting. We’ll learn how listen to our partner and decide to give or not when asked. You will decide if you want to fall, if you want to get, if you want to have your center surrounded and you will feel free to allow someone else to take it. It will be challenging to learn how to absorb someone else’s weight properly on the other side too! Fusion Dance is a relatively new term for a genre of dance that combines two or more partner dance genres together during the course of a song. To us, this means breaking down the boundaries between dance forms to allow us to pick and choose which amongst the many different techniques we wish to employ at any given time.
