We invite you to once again come hang out with us virtually, as we bring you the best in Fusion Music Pull out your dancing shoes(or socks, whatever your prefer) . get comfy, clear out some dancing space, grab some water(stay hydrated!)- and get ready wherever you may be on this planet, because this Saturday evening, July 11th- at [ 8:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time | [ 7:30 p.m. Central Daylight Time] [6:30 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time) [5:30 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time] , for our fellow fusion dancers in Florida, on Southeast / the East coast, AND across the country- time to jam! Your music dealers for this event will be featuring some newer faces from Fusion Orlando, Menagerie, and even out of town guest- DJ's! Nikki Hill ~ 8:30 p.m. E.D.T. Tara Lono ~ 9:30 p.m. E.D.T. [Set Times are approximate ] Join us starting at just about 8:30 p.m., and jamming all the way until ~late.! We will be streaming live for this event- come here to this event page for the party! What you need to participate - This will be a shared DJ event done using Zoom- You'll be able to see everyone jamming out to the music! All you'll need for this, is your web browser. (Chrome or Edge work a little better than Firefox for this but they should all get you going) AND you'll need a link to the meeting which we'll post here right before the fun starts (and enable your video camera if you like, so we can see you as well!) So, if at any point you want- we encourage dancing with everybody- and each other! You can 'dance' with someone else by asking them to dance, and pinning their video (to see them!) - and let the music lead the way! We encourage having fun and getting all the dances, so if you're comfortable with it, save us a 'virtual' dance or few! Either way, we can't wait to party with you! DJ Bios DJ Nikki Nikki has been dancing for about 6 years now - Knows how to Blues, Fusion and Lindy Hop- Started in Lindy with the UCF Swing Knights but then discovered the world of Blues and Fusion. . Nikki has traveled to South Caroline for GVLX [Greenville Lindy Exchange]. She's also been to Blue's & Soul [Orlando] and Break Even Blues [Orlando]. Listening to her style of DJing you might hear some blues, possibly some country, maybe some pop and little bit of rock. DJ Tara Before their involvement in the fusion community, Tara underwent extensive training as a vocalist (classical and musical theatre) as well as a solo contemporary and hip-hop dancer. Taking this knowledge and experience with them into partner dance made them appreciate music in new and exciting ways, emphasizing partner connection and musicality. What you can expect to hear during Tara’s sets is their affinity for alternative R&B, hip-hop, and Nu jazz. However, they appreciate a variety of musical styles and absolutely love exploring music. Being a new DJ, they hope to bring new music into the fusion scene and welcome positive and constructive feedback from all dancers, instructors, and DJs alike. DJ Crystal Crystal has been dancing since she was 13, starting with jazz dance classes, but finding social dancing by 16. A follow in most ballroom, Latin and swing styles, Crystal enjoys fusion because it brings all her favorites together and allows for dancing to a genre of music not often found in other dance styles. Oh Wonder and Marian Hill are two of her favorite artists and anything with a great syncopated beat, or whimsical musicality are welcome. Let's dance! DJ Cherish : Cherish's dance addiction began with ballroom in 2016. Although she started in ballroom, she primarily dances Fusion, Kizomba, Zouk, and Blues now. Along with her dance addiction she's a bit of a music enthusiast who loves finding and sharing new music with dancers. Cherish started DJing at ballroom events in early 2018 shortly before she started dancing Fusion and Blues, which she fell in love with immediately. Coming from DJing ballroom, the transition into DJing Fusion was definitely a learning experience for her. She first started DJing Fusion at Menagerie Fusion in Atlanta in 2019. As a DJ, Cherish likes to pull music from different genres and dance styles, so you can expect to hear a bit of Kizomba, Tango, or Waltz in her sets. She loves playing with fun and unexpected sounds in her sets and sharing music from different genres. Her favorite part of DJing is seeing how dancers from different backgrounds interpret the songs she plays. She also loves experimenting with music, so if you like a song she plays, feel free to let her know. DJ Jeremy A Fusion Orlando classic who is always bringing the heat- having DJ'ed for Fuze-On Tampa Bay and Menagerie Fusion(Atlanta) with a knack for musicality and beats that will get you jumping, Jeremy recently made a reappearance at our Winter Wonderland event and is returning to kick off the new year!
