MetaMovements Winter Performance Challenge - Cuba & the DR!

Challenge 1: Dominican Dance Flavor! Featuring different styles of Bachata, Merengue & Dembow Challenge 2: Celebrate Cuba! Timba, Rumba, Son & Rueda, plus Salsa on1 & on2 with Cuban Movement NOTE: Separate sections for Beginner to Advanced levels in each style/genre, so that everyone can feel the challenge, and shine on the dance-floor! Duration: December-February (with additional performance opportunities continuing afterwards in the Boston-area, and in the DR if you wish!). We'll be beginning the first Monday of December (12/2) SPECIAL PRACTICE WORKSHOP: Saturday, December 7th: Salsa, Bachata & their roots: 1PM: Musicality & Footwork from the DR 2PM: Bachata Partnerwork 3PM: Salsa Footwork with Cuban Fusion 4PM: Salsa Partnerwork & Rueda *** The content of this workshop will be in the choreographies for the Winter Performance Challenges!** 400 Harvard Street. 02138 (Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre) $10 / hr in advance -- $15 / hr at the door (additional $25 % off for performance challenge members!) Rehearsals: Mondays from 8-10pm (one hour per challenge). NOTE: The goal is to have at least 4 hours of group practice per month for each of the challenges, so we may extend each by 30 min (i.e: 7:30-10:30) or add an extra day, if we want to cover for missed time over the holidays, or with a special coach.
