Mickey Perez and Lloydski

Mickey Perez is a Chicago-born, Miami raised, Brooklyn-based selector of Cuban/Ecuadorean descent who pairs New York staples like boogaloo, salsa and disco with indigenous styles of music from Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Cape Verde, Nigeria and Ghana. His Sunday residence at Bembe features these sounds weekly. Lloydski is one third of the Tiki Disco crew, a regular host on the Lot Radio and a longtime staple of NYC's club scene. Be ready for a night of wide-ranging grooves — disco without borders, if you will.
