Imagine a mid-summer night in Buenos Aires – the lingering warmth and the inviting beat of beautiful Tango music luring you to the dance floor. For one night we’ll pretend! Sangria San Telmo & Mojitos Milongueros to refresh you and projected images of Buenos Aires Tango will set the scene for an evening of dancing to some wonderful traditional Tango. To welcome you we have a special pre-milonga class (optional) on dancing to the inspired music of Astor Piazzolla. Piazzolla’s music is challenging in that it breaks from the lyrical melodies of much of the Golden Age Tango. At the same time Piazzolla’s music gives great scope for improvisation and use of some interesting moves. We’ll focus on how to interpret the music creatively using many of the tools you’ll already be familiar with. I hope you can join me for a memorable night of Tango Buenos Aires style!
