It is an expressive, playful, and accepting atmosphere allowing deep journeys into self-awareness, spirit, and connections with others. All states of being are welcomed, whether happy, sad, expressive or not...the intention is medicine for all. Altar space is lovingly offered with the invitation to invoke the sacred within yourself. This is an alcohol-free event with no chit chat and no phones on the dance floor. All dancing with another must be consensual—a bow of the hands in prayer pose communicates that “I would like to dance alone, thank you.” Please limit conversation to the outskirts of the dance area. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ecstatic Dance is being held monthly, with event details provided via our email list and facebook group, Ecstatic Dance Durango.
