Midwinter Celebration: Ecstatic Dance & Singing Circle

(English text below) ❋❋❋ Midwinterviering: Ecstatic Dance en Zangcirkel ❋❋❋ In het weekend van de langste nacht nodigen we je uit om midwinter te vieren in dans, zang en verstilling. Nu de duisternis op zijn diepst is, hebben we de kans om het donker in onszelf en om ons heen te ontmoeten. Het keerpunt van midwinter nodigt ons uit tot reflectie en verstilling, maar herinnert ons ook aan de belofte van het licht dat terug zal keren. Kom je dansen met het donker? Samen verwelkomen we het nieuwe licht en brengen we verbinding en warmte in deze bijzondere tijd. ❋ Ecstatic Dance ❋ We starten de middag met een Ecstatic Dance reis. Ecstatic Dance Wageningen is een meditatieve dansreis waarbij je in een veilige en toegewijde ruimte kunt experimenteren met beweging. Wees welkom om jezelf te uiten precies zoals jij het voelt in het moment, in speelsheid en verstilling, in contact met jezelf en anderen. We dansen op blote voeten (of sokken), zonder woorden, zonder alcohol en drugs, zonder telefoons of camera's. Thee en water staat voor je klaar. Simone van Dam zal een openingsceremonie begeleiden om ons te helpen landen in ons lichaam en af te stemmen op het thema van Midwinter. Marijn neemt ons mee op een muzikale reis die ons uitnodigt om te stromen en te verstillen met het licht en donker in onszelf. Na de dansreis hebben we een uur pauze waarin er ruimte is om te ontspannen en/of met elkaar te verbinden onder het genot van een kopje warme chai (veganistisch) en wat gezonde snacks. (Voor grotere honger ben je welkom om je eigen eten mee te nemen, voor jezelf of om te delen.) ❋ Zangcirkel ❋ Na de pauze vervolgen we onze viering met een zangcirkel geleid door Marijn en Veerle: "We voelen ons dankbaar en vereerd met de uitnodiging om een zangcirkel te openen in onze oude thuisbasis Wageningen bij KenKon ter viering van midwinter. We zingen medicijnmuziek uit ons eigen hart en uit alle windrichtingen - vibraties van harmonie als voeding voor de ziel. Eerdere ervaring met zangcirkels is niet nodig: iedere stem is welkom. We kijken er naar uit om weer samen te zingen met oude bekenden - en met nieuwe vrienden die de roep voelen om deel te nemen. Na aanvang sluiten wij onze deuren, het is niet mogelijk om later aan te sluiten. --- LET OP! Voor dit evenement is er een maximum aantal deelnemers, zodat we voldoende ruimte kunnen waarborgen op de dansvloer. We raden je aan om je ticket op tijd online te kopen om zeker te zijn van een plekje. Now the darkness reaches its deepest point, we are offered the chance to meet the shadows within ourselves and around us. The turning point of midwinter calls us to reflect and be still, while also reminding us of the promise of the returning light. Will you join us in dancing with the darkness? Together, we will welcome the new light and bring connection and warmth to this special time. ❋ Ecstatic Dance ❋ We will start the afternoon with an Ecstatic Dance journey. Ecstatic Dance Wageningen is a barefoot meditative dance journey that invites you to experiment with movement in a safe and dedicated space. Feel free to express yourself as you feel in the moment, in playfulness and stillness, connected with yourself and others. We dance barefoot (or on socks), without words, alcohol, drugs, phones or cameras. Tea and water is available. Simone van Dam will guide us through an opening ceremony to help us ground in our bodies and tune into the theme of Midwinter. Marijn will take us on a musical journey, inviting us to flow and find stillness with the light and darkness within ourselves. After the dance journey we’ll have a hour-long break, offering space to relax and/or connect with one another while enjoying a warm cup of (vegan) chai and some healthy snacks. (For a bigger appetite you are welcome to bring your own food.) ❋ Singing Circle ❋ After the break we continue our celebration with a singing circle led by Marijn and Veerle: "We feel grateful and honoured for this invitation to host a singing circle in our old home base Wageningen at KenKon in celebration of midwinter. We bring medicine music from our own hearts and all directions - vibrations of harmony as nourishment for the soul. Previous experience with singing circles is not necessary: come as you are. We look forward to reunite with some familiar faces and to welcome in new friends that feel the call to join us there.
