Omni Salsa Studio is opening their doors to those individuals with a passion for dancing, performing, and competing! If you are ready to step it up as a dancer and compete, then this is definitely an awesome opportunity for you! This Competition Team will require people with good energy, a great attitude, and an ability to commit. Omni Salsa Studio welcomes and encourages every level of dancer and every type of dancer to be a part of this invigorating experience! We will help you excel in the following areas: (1) Perfecting your ability to lead and follow; (2) Expanding your ability to connect with your partner; (3) Advancing your ability to properly frame your body; (4) Enhancing your presence and style as a dancer; and (5) Reinforcing your confidence as a great dancer. When ~ Starting Monday, June 22, 2009 @ 8 - 10 p.m. Where ~ Omni Salsa Dance Studio 7333 Harwin, Suite # 217, Houston, TX 77036 Requirements ~ 1~ $200 Deposit (payments can be done, Is Refundable) 2~ $100 ~ dance team and unlimited group 3~ Shoes (suggestions: ballet, jazz, Latin, smooth) 4~ Knee Pads 5~ Some performances along the way, including fundraisers, parties, & nightclubs. 6~ We will prepare for 2 choreographies to compete in April and May of 2010 Monday: 8 - 9p ~ Techniques; spin, posture, lines, body isolation, styling. *9 - 10p ~ Learning the Choreography ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In addition, in this program you will have the opportunity to develop your own dance style through proper technique, form, balance, posture, spins, body isolation, hand styling and musicality. You will learn to incorporate a sensual and confident personality into your dance style. You will learn to be in control of your movements...incorporating isolations from head to toe...feeling every inch of your body move to the rhythm of your perfection. You will learn many moves and styles from Salsa, Mambo, Ballroom, and other Latin dances. The techniques learned in this class will increase your ability to dance confidently to any rhythm! The process of learning dance choreographies is highly dependent on one's abilities, expectations, goals, and dedication to practice. After you learn dance choreographies, you will be able to execute shines, styling, and footwork patterns with amazing confidence!
