Tango with Jesica and Maxi

Join us for two days of dance workshops with Jesica and Maxi followed by a milonga partnered with the 2025 CU Folk and Roots Festival featuring live tango orchestra music by Rodrigo Avalos and Heyni Solera with Bandoneon Massacre and guests. They will have many dance and practice shoes available for purchase on Saturday and Sunday. Schedule as follows: Saturday 1:30-2:45 pm: Fluency (Intermediate/Advanced) How to find fluency in the dance, from the continuation of movements, using resources that allow not to interrupt the dance from the interpretation and the mark. Rebounds, alterations, continuation of dissociated and associated movements. We will work with advance sequences. 3:00-4:15 pm: Social Dance (All Levels) Resources for social dance, musicality and how to dance in reduced space with complex sequences. 6:00-7:00 pm: Rodrigo Avalos at the 2025 CU Folk and Roots Festival (Hotel Royer, 210 S Race St, Urbana, IL 61801) 9:00 pm-12:00 am: Milonga featuring live orchestra music as part of the 2025 CU Folk and Roots Festival and performances by Jesica and Maxi to live music (Hotel Royer, 210 S Race St, Urbana, IL 61801) Sunday 10:00-11:30 am: Female Lead Practica lead by Jesica Arfenoni (All Levels) 12:00-1:15 pm: Full Connection (All Levels) Resources to improve the connection in the couple, optimize fluency, divide the responsibilities of leader/follower using different connection engines.
