Milonga Brisa de la Plata

This March we are very lucky to have the amazing Marcelino Fernandez and Valentina Ferrotti with us! They are often teaching all over the Europe and Buenos Aires, so it's a rare treat to catch them together! To take advantage of this they will be teaching a longer workshop of 90 min to allow them really get into the details and help you push your tango to the next level. Later they will wow us with a performance during the milonga, so don't miss this special opportunity to learn from them and see them perform live. - Event Times - 16.30 - 18:00: Pre-milonga workshop: Out of Axis II Valentina and Marcelino invite you to work on and explore this thrilling technique. The key focus of this workshop will be volcadas and shared-axis giros. You will have the opportunity to approach these movements through a variety of exercises designed to help you feel comfortable and confident, so that you can make them a part of your tango repertoire. This will be in the Main Hall 18.00 - 22:00: Milonga, including a performance, in the Main Hall Due to the longer workshop there will not be any availability for private lessons before the milonga. However they are based in Sheffield at present so if you are interested in lessons with them you can contact them directly. - Our milonga - As usual, we will have a mix of Traditional, Electronic & Nuevo Tango, all together on the same dancefloor. Music will be played in tandas. We have lots of seating a large wooden dancefloor so we have the space to accommodate all styles of tango, although considerate floor craft is still appreciated (no one wants a stiletto stuck in their leg).
