Milonga Café Pacífico (Virtual Edition: 11.28.20)

Emily Pierce, Derrick Del Pilar, Felipe Martinez, and Ayano Yoneda cordially invite you to the fifth monthly edition of Milonga Café Pacífico, a virtual tango event, on Saturday, November 28, 2020, from 7 to 10 pm PDT (GMT-8). At our virtual milonga, we provide the standard milonga format tandas and cortinas for all who wish to listen in live. You can dance along at home, listen in, chat with friends, or have the music play in the background. Our monthly event happens on the fourth Saturday. Our DJ for the evening is the wonderful Sabah Chammas who will be DJing for us from San Diego, California! Sabah got addicted to Tango in the late nineties. It started with dancing and now it includes being a DJ: “…Tango music occupies my thoughts and energizes my spirit and I am in constant search for good music. Although I try to vary the music I play, I am heavily influenced by the style of dance in Buenos Aires as well as the music played at the milongas there circa 1940 so feel free to call me old fashioned. I live for Golden Age music. The emotional impact of the music is what I look for in addition to the musicality.” Our co-hosts for the evening will be Felipe Martinez and Ayano Yoneda.
