Milonga La Ideal, Special Advent Edition.

Tango Warwick and Warwick University Tango Society have teamed up to give extra pre-Christmas sparkle to the December edition of Milonga La Ideal. As well as the usual warm welcome, brilliant traditional tango music, good floor and excellent acoustics, we will have a pre-milonga chacarera class (see below) also at Warwick SPACE. The class will be given by Diego Denett from Argentina, now living in Rome, who will be our guest DJ. It’s the last Friday before the election: a time to indulge in total tango enjoyment! There will be some nibbles and some wine for early arrivers, but BYOB if you wish. WHERE: Warwick SPACE, 71 Coten End, Warwick, CV34 4NU TIMING: Chacarera class 8.15pm -9.15 pm Milonga 9.30 pm -00.30 am (approx). PRICE at the door: Class only £8 / (£5-students with student Id), Class + milonga £14/£8 Milonga only £10 / £6 . WARWICK SPACE is on the north side of the main road north of the river between Leamington and Warwick. Next to the Millwright Arms now called "The Black Pug" and almost opposite a Sainsbury local. Parking is plentiful around the venue in residential areas but do not park on the pub next door or in Sainsbury’s – people have been known to be fined there! It is a short walk from Warwick Railway Station. There are several B&B's nearby and hotels etc in Leamington & Warwick. LA CHACARERA is an Argentine Folklore dance, very elegant and good fun where the couple tries to get closer to each other by dancing in circles, but always remaining at a respectful distance. It is quite often danced at milongas in Britain.
