THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL: We regret very much (to say the least) that if you have not already pre-registered (by 10am Monday 21st November) by the advertised google form, or by direct contact with confirmation, you will almost certainly not be admitted before 11pm and possibly not at all. Our 12th Night milonga on 6th January at the lovely Warwick Courthouse Ballroom is something to look forward to though...so please put it in your diary. Corina Piatti has regularly entranced participants at Tango Warwick's Tango Spa Festivals with the beauty of her singing and the joy of dancing tango as she plays and sings. There is no Tango Spa this year; we have to wait until October 27th-29th 2023, but Corina has agreed to come and perform for us to celebrate the beginning of this festive season. We will be at home in Warwick SPACE. It is a large room with a decent floor, in a space reminiscent of Buenos Aires' Sunderland Club (some say), and with great acoustics. We are very happy to have Mabel Gomez returning as DJ. She is as excellent at working together with a live act as she is when given full freedom for the whole evening. She will be carefully observing the dancers and understanding what will make it impossible for them to resist dancing, until the end of the last tanda. There will be some nibbles, soft drinks, fine cordials and wine for early arrivers, but BYOB if you wish. We encourage good tango*, nice ronda **, and cabeceo! It will be the friendly, joyful, and lively milonga tango dancers have come to love. Above all there will be a warm welcome for visitors, regulars, and once regulars, alike. WARWICK SPACE is on the north side of the main road north of the river between Leamington and Warwick; next to the Black Pug pub, aka Millwright Arms, and almost opposite a Sainsbury local. It is a short walk from Warwick Railway Station, and not far from M40 and A46. There are several hotels & B&B's nearby in this tourist area. The Castle Limes Hotel is a few minutes away. You can now even stay in Warwick Castle grounds. PARKING is mostly on road, especially towards Warwick on the main road or Smith Street (one way, going East), on back streets (not very easy), or towards Warwick station. The St Nicholas Park car park is about 10 minutes walk away but you probably could do with a torch on the way back.
