Milwaukee Bachata: All Levels Open House

Participate in our performance teams' stretch series, warm-up and technique training Sunday August 5th; all levels welcome. No previous experience necessary. Come meet our Alma Milwaukee Familia (Dancers and Intructors) in August by attending our Sunday rehearsal. Feel free to stay until the end and observe how we drill and clean routines for upcoming performances or just stay to stretch and train with us! SCHEDULE: Sunday August 5th: - 12pm-2:30pm (Bachata Coed Amateur Team - Stretch, Technique and choreography rehearsal) -3:30-6pm - (Ladies & Mens Int/Adv Stretch, Technique & choreography rehearsal) ✪✪All attendees must arrrive on time in order to prevent disrupting the rehearsal after it begins. Please arrive at either 12pm or 3:30pm - depending on if you are joining us for Coed Bachata and/or Bachata styling training. ✪✪ Alma Milwaukee DANCE COMPANY: Directed by: Amber Rivard & Joshua Burgos (owners of Daync Studio) Amber and Joshua were the directors of Ahora! Latin Dance Organization at UW-Milwaukee for two years, and started Alma Milwaukee Dance Company 3 years ago. In 2016 they brought the world champion director, Gaby C. Equiz, to Milwaukee to train all Alma Milwaukee teams. Gaby also taught workshops for the general public to take advantage of that weekend. In June 2018 they are bringing 2 members of the Alma Latin Pro team: CESAR & YARED, to teach bachata fusion, technique, styling and social dancing workshops on June 15th. DANCE EXPERIENCE: The directors of Alma Milwaukee have traveled to the Paris International Salsa Congress in April 2016 to train under the Alma Latina Pro Team and debut their Ladies' Styling routine! They have also traveled to Montreal, Canada, Tijuana & Rosarito Mexico, Reno, Nevada and Orlando, Florida to work with Alma Latina to receive specific director training. Last summer, Directors Amber Rivard, Joshua Burgos trained under Alma Latina Pro Team again in Tijuana, Mexico to further their dance technique and bring the knowledge back to their Milwaukee training teams.
