Please make informed decisions about your own health and safety. About the Artist: Based in Phoenix, Elijah started his dance journey in 2008. He has been certified by the Brazilian Zouk Dance Council and completed over 50 hours of teacher training from teachers around the world. Less than 3 years after learning Zouk, he and his partner Deenie competed in the Amateur US Open at LA Zouk Festival and won! The next year they also competed in the Semi-Pro division and took 1st place. Most recently, Elijah competed at Zouk Elevation in Denver in 2021 against the best of the best and took 4th place! Elijah loves the creativity, expression, and beauty that Zouk has to offer and looks to embody that in his classes and musical style. He continues to fuel this passion every day while hosting regular classes from beginner to intermediate as well as DJing for events around the country.
