Mind Motion dance art laboratory open classes

MIND’MOTION Dance ART Laboratory open classes “The most important for me as a dancer, performer and instant composer is the connection of Body and Mind. Therefore, I work deeply with activating and grounding the body by releasing the mind and vice versa - by releasing and grounding the body for that to activate the presence and imagery of mind” During MIND'MOTION classes we will focus on different tools to enter the state of released and bound Body-Mind connection within the “landscape” of supporting trust”. Through carefully guided investigation of physicality, anatomical structures and its mechanics, textures or images we will step by step move into embodied moments of lets, call it : “The obvious surprise of ongoing Now”. We will work with “Persistence of Listening, Letting go and Provocation”. When the body and mind gets open comes softness with strength, ground with expansion, clarity, sharpness, flow, freedom and constant enjoyment in movement gets awake. The movement and dance start consciously composing and dancing itself. During classes we will use also power of Images, Objects, Materials, Poetry, Voice and “Hands on” practice. The tools which I use comes from Body Mind Centering, Ilan Lev Method, Contact Improvisation, Contemporary Dance, Martial Arts and couple years of learning the Art of Improvisation in dance f.ex from Iwona Olszowska, Milan Kozanek, Lilo Stahl, Yanniv Mintzer, Benoit Lachambre, Emmanuel Grivet, Julien Hamilton, Rosalind Crisp, Marisa Grande, Iris van Peppen and many others. Katarzyna Brzezinska is a dance, performance and visual artist, yoga practitioner, student of Ilan Lev Method, as well as full time life, dance and art researcher. She was studying first visual arts and training contemporary dance, martial arts, butoh, dance improvisation, release and somatic techniques (BMC, CI) as well as stage performance in the field of dance and physical theatre since 2009. She graduated from TIP (Schule für Tanz , Improvisation und Performance) in 2017. Since then she is developing her way into instant composition, release/contemporary technique and performance practices.
