mini-calesitas & micro-boleos, at a very festive Bienvenida!

This Monday's class plays with smaller versions of two classic, challenging, related tango moves, the calesita and the boleo. Though we might first learn larger versions in classes, we often use these smaller versions when dancing socially. They allow us to adapt to a changing crowd on the dance floor, changing details in the song, and our own improvisational impulses. This Monday's milonga includes a performance at 10 pm by Juan Alessandrini and Sofi Sol, plus a couple of birthdays, so don't miss the exciting evening! 6:30-7:30 ~ tango class on boleos and calesitas 7:30-8:00 ~ practice time 8:00-midnight ~ Bienvenida Milonga $20 for either the class+practice time OR the milonga $30 for both
