About this Event

This Week @ The Riverside!! MoM Beginner’s Mind Workshop: Enroped Contact Improvisation with Logan Step over the Threshold With your Community Reclaim your Nature Like the threads that invisibly bind us, rope becomes our teacher in this unique movement exploration. Through the tangible presence of rope, we discover the ever-present connections that exist between bodies in motion. Each subtle pull, each gentle tension reveals the continuous dialogue between dancers, making visible the invisible web of energy that permeates every dance floor. The Practice In this Beginner's Mind workshop, rope becomes our guide to deeper awareness. As we move, the physical connection of rope illuminates the subtle ways we affect each other and the entire group field. Feel the immediate feedback of your movements ripple through the rope to your dance partners, bringing mindfulness to every gesture, every shift, every breath. This experimental laboratory weaves together: ~Contact improvisation ~Authentic Movement theory ~Intuitive body exploration ~Dynamic rope work Your Invitation Whether you're an experienced dancer or taking your first steps, this practice welcomes you. Here, there are no wrong moves – only authentic expression. Through rope work, we make tactile the subtle energetic connections that already exist between us, allowing for: ~Deeper self-awareness ~Enhanced partner sensitivity ~Expanded group consciousness ~Embodied trust exploration The rope serves as both metaphor and tool, helping us feel the living connections that dance already creates. It amplifies our awareness of the invisible threads that connect us all, transforming abstract concepts of interconnectedness into physical, felt experience. Details ~No prior experience needed ~All abilities welcome ~Each session is uniquely shaped by its participants ~Focus on non-judgmental exploration Join us as we transcend traditional dance boundaries and discover new dimensions of connection through movement.
