🌿What is Mitakara tradition ? 〜 Introduction by iida-sun Mitakara is a daily habit which was passed generation to generation through festival, ceremony and ritual from ancient times in Japan. Almost all villages in Japan, they enjoyed and recovered this tradition in the annual festival "Kagura"until modernization. It was the way to live joyfully each other in familly and comunity by opening human genetic potential. In Japanese language, human being is HI-TO which has at least 3 meaning. "The door of starting point, the door of oneness and the door of the sun". 　　　　　　 How to open the door of the sun ? what we could do to resolve "Yami" [darkness and illness] which come from three characteristics of human being ? 　　　　　　　 The answer has existed in Mitakara [Trinity of holy treasure] tradition which I have been passed from my grand mother in central mountain region of Japan. We can easily find similar 3 elements in Japanese well known myth "opening heavenly rock gate" by symbolical way. How to open it ? What kind of way our ancestors found ? In the context of anthropology, it had been very common way among all the humanity. It is the very origin and basis of all the culture. At the same time, we can find that it is the key for human being to survival from now on toward the future. ................................................................................................ 🌿Mitakara workshops : "How to open the entrance of 3 holy treasures" Introduction by Filiz Bozkuş Al : A stage performer who got best performer prize 2023 in Turkey In this workshop, we will approach the reality of "Body-Heart-Spirit" as the "3 Fundamental Treasures" that humans possess. As a species capable of dancing freely with our spine erect on two legs and our hands free, leaving joyful way behind for future generations with our creativity and turning our imaginations, designs, and thoughts into reality - creating meanings and stories; how and in which direction can we develop these human characteristics? How can we 'unlock' and open these treasures for ourselves and life? What does 'open the treasures' mean? How can we incorporate the practice that reminds us that these 3 Treasures are actually 'united one' into our daily habits? While life always tends to flow towards a joyful direction, unlike other creatures, we humans are also inclined to create blockages, problems, and illnesses. How can we alleviate these blockages we create, and find the enjoyable direction for ourselves and life? Although this workshop is mainly prepared from the perspective of the Japanese Shaman Tradition of ordinary people, led by iida-sun from Japan, we will discover how this 3 in one Treasure exsist their counterparts in all cultures, traditions, and customs created by human beings. 🌿 Who is Workshop Leader iida-sun? Born in 1967 in the Suwa region of Japan,iida-sun was raised by his grandmother, a storyteller, inheriting various traditional techniques and magics. These include Japanese martial arts, Seitai, and Traditional Eastern medicine. He was assistant for a period, Kazuo Ohno and his son Yoshito Ohno, founders of Butoh dance. He later continued his career as a theatrical director, musician, actor, and dance artist in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, and North America. Iida has utilized Mikusano Mitakara （3 Treasures） in all forms of art. He is also recognized as a poet, novelist, and playwright in Japan today. Following the 2011 Fukushima disaster, he decided to share Mikusano Mitakara not only with artists but with all people using traditional terms.
