Monthly Cuban Salsa Party + Dance Workshops

RCR hosts a Cuban Dance Party every 1st Saturday of the month at Lake Merritt Dance in Oakland. We are offering three workshops this month — at 5:00pm, Ryan’s listening class will be devoted to understanding the structure of a timba song, and how we can dance musically to the overall energy levels of the different sections of a song. At 6:15pm Or will be offering another Lead/Follow switch Rueda Workshop — dancers must ALREADY be at Level 2 of BOTH leading and following to attend, as dancers will constantly be switching back and forth between roles. Then at 7:30pm we offer a 1-on-1 social dancing Salsa-Casino class (two separate levels taught in different rooms simultaneously). LMD is a PERFECT venue for dancing, featuring a smooth vintage hardwood dance floor with ample space to dance.
